Hell, $70 for 250 rounds is hard to pass up whether it works in this one gun or not, got other shotguns!

For those less inclined, here's a nice deal on 00 Buckshot;

Tempted to order a box of these and see if my 12" Vepr will run them. Got a entry level shotgunning class I'm gonna attend for shits and giggles to see how well the gun works, this weekend.

Cool, I'm tempted.
One thing I don't like is the dram rating of "MAX".
Max....!?!?! What's "MAX"?

The reviews are mostly positive, slightly mixed regarding auto guns.
My favorite comment is:
"My Saiga 12 eats this stuff like a fat kid rolling down the Krispy Kreme donut line! "

I wouldn't think 4.0, as they're 1200fps. But I could be wrong.
Would be nice if they'd give a bit more info.

9 pellets of 00 buck is 1-1/8 oz. At 1200 fps that gives a dram equiv. rating of 3.

Comments from ammo websites (for what its worth) say the ammo is pretty clean, and runs in Mossy 500 pump & 930SPX tube mag autoloader.

Since S&B are a European outfit, they may be testing the loads in 36 inch or 1 meter barrels. If so, then velocity out of a Vepr may be lower with its shorter barrels, thus lowering the dr. eq. rating to less than 3.

Gotcha, thanks Booch. I wasn't sure about the weight, but figured it had to be in that range.
Thanks for clearing that up. :D

The S&B stuff has a few things about it as a rule.

No shot cup, no buffer, soft lead, soft hull. Tends to be about as hot as claimed. Roll crimp is easily damaged due to the soft plastic. Brass is easily dented.

It was one of only two brand s of ammo that I ever had hull deformation with.

In short, quality ammo but not the best choice for H.D. due to wide pattern , and significant chance that ammo which is loaded can get hull damage that eventually will result in feeding issues after repeated chamberings.

I just bought it cause it was cheap enough to shoot for shits and giggles. I'll probably get some 3" stuff for HD.
