Praying for the members and families who are affected by Hurricane Harvey.

I believe VforVandetta lives down that way. What other members are from the affected area?

I was lucky! I live west of the flooding in downtown Houston, and east of the flooding along the Brazos river. No wind damage or flooding in my immediate area. I had 58 mph average high wind speed, and 18 inches of rain. No property damage. Had numerous power surges and outages, but I have a backup generator on natural gas, so I was covered, and no lost food. I've been blessed! Please keep Houston in your thoughts and prayers. It'll be a good while before things get back to normal. Transportation along the E-W I-10 corridor and N-S I-45 has been impacted and that is slowing supplies of normal everyday items in grocery and supply stores. Gasoline is running low in some areas because of late, after the fact, panic buying. I hope the manufacturers of sheetrock, paneling, and insulation are working 3 shifts in anticipation of the upcoming demand.

All eyes are now on Irma. Hope she stays out at sea.

If V needs anything tell him to PM me. I'll help him get set up if he needs anything. V, you listening? Gimme a PM if you need anything.

My cousin was stuck on the second story of his home with his younger son. He couldn't go downstairs because there was several feet of water and none of his breakers had tripped. So the power was on and his panel was in the garage. Got rescued by boat two days later. Not to be to political but give money directly or to St. Vincent DePaul. Not to,the Red Cross. They keep a large portion of what they collect not for the current emergency but for future events as they did with Katrina and Sandy.

I heard from V yesterday. He seems to be doing well. As noted above, he waited to move until the storm had passed. He just finished his first week at his new job at Dissident Arms.

Jeez guys!

Believe it or not it just dawned on me to check out the general discussion section of this forum. I always just go straight to the Vepr 12 subforum!

Thank you for thinking of me and offering help. Yes I moved down right after the storm hit, to a town called Conroe 90 miles from the coast. About an hour from downtown Houston. Luckily the neighborhood I moved into was unaffected by the flooding. A lot of others were not so lucky, and some people are still recovering.

I've been busy as a beaver at my new job working for Dissident Arms, and also setting up, shooting, and helping run matches for Dissident Arms Multigun. I'm like a kid in a candy store! Also absolutely loving the city of Houston!

Booch, would love to chat and hit the range sometime. Glad you didn't get hit by the 1000 year flood.

Waldo glad your cousin is ok.

-V
