I currently only own a 12 gauge Vepr (variant with the Russian folding stock).

I just picked one up in 7.62x39. I'd like to get a Vepr Hunter in .308 at some point. This site was awesome for a newb like myself - thanks guys.

New Vepr 12 and 7.62x39 owner. I'm already thinking about adding either a 7.62x54 or .308 to the collection.

Have 20" barrel .308 Win. Factory woodwork, no mods.
Sideways angled low Kalinka mount ( :x ), so had to mount Burris Z Sig rings with 20MOA inserts to get it straight.
Vortex 2-7x35 BDC scope, which clears the rear sight by 1mm, so good cheek weld.
Valmet ejection buffer, so saves the brass form the dreaded AK crease.
Haven't bowled a deer with it, but plenty of goats and turkeys.

Have shot best 0.66" group with handloaded 150gn Sierra Prohunters and best of 0.74" group with 155gn Hornady A-Maxes.

Turned down cheap offer for a .223 Vepr, as I couldn't justify having 3 x .223 rilfes in the safe! Silly me.

Wow! More 54r guys than 12g, never would've guessed that one.
Have 12g and hopefully soon 7.62x39.
and the 6.5 vaporware if it ever manifests

Got the Vepr .308 last year. Picked up the vepr .223 and Vepr 12 on ban day before the prices went up. Just picked up the 12gauge today. Red dot on the .223 is now off awaiting a Bushnell TRS 25 that'll mount lower. I just had that one laying around.

Vepr .308 has MFT Minimilist stock, Bonesteel right hand folder, Houge grip, and Krebs UFM Keymod forend, G2 trigger group and Tapco muzzle brake. Optic is a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x scope and Midwest Industries 30mm scope mount.

Vepr .223 has Archangel AK stock. MFT Engage grip Tapco G2 trigger and JT Performance spring, MFT AK handguard and CSS lower handguard adapter. Awaiting Definitive Arms to start accepting orders again to send in and get their AR magwell installed and re-thread barrel for brake/suppressor adapter. May order CANIS magpul MOE handguard adapter too.

Vepr12 is stock for now and other than changing some internals to US parts and cutting the weld on stock it'll stay mostly stock. I already have a tricked out Saiga12

Ordered my first VEPR yesterday…x39. Like the cartridge and have a Norinko & Polytech to share ammo stash.
Keeping my calibers to three….9mm, 7.62x39 & 12ga.

Looking forward to the VEPR.

I stick to common calibers. The furthest I stray out of the very common is 5.45x39 and .40, which are still fairly common these days.
