Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Washington State and bought my VEPR 12 a few years ago!
I absolutely love the quality and reliability of my VEPR (I had a Saiga 12 before that, and although I really liked it after doing some mods on it, I've never regretted selling the Saiga in order to buy my VEPR!

My brother recently introduced me to the 6.5 Grendel caliber and I'm impressed! Then I got really excited when I found that VEPR makes 3 barrel lengths in the Grendel line! Now I just have to decide which length will work the best for my intended uses!

I've been shooting since I was in elementary school and it's my passion. I continue to learn about guns and ammo. I'm willing to share my 2ยข worth when it's appropriate!

Welcome, 762way! Glad to have you onboard. :D

6.5 is a cool round. Just learning about it myself. I'd suggest a 30-06 Vepr for 1000 yd. But a 6.5 should get there especially in a 20 inch barrel. I think the Grendel really shines because it has such excellent ballistics and is short enough for an AR15 lower. Gives a lightweight longer range option. Definitely a cool round!

Be sure to let us know what you get and how it performs! 8-)
