So, I have a question regarding the PAP M92 Pistols with Arm Brace you guys are selling.

1: is it legal to shoulder the item, or does that turn it into an SBR?
2: what is the arm brace made of, and is it sold enough to shoulder (if legal)?
3: what kind of tube is the arm brace sitting on? is it a standard AR based commercial or military tube?

thanks again,

-DSP

I don't think the seller of these can (or should) legally say that it can be shouldered like a rifle stock. This is a device that is designed to make a pistol easier to fire one handed. ;)
Check out what The Firearm Blog said about it (http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013 ... k-pistols/) & the AR version (http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013 ... ce-review/)

It is my understanding that the law is very specific about the design, or intent of the firearm, NOT its use. It is designed to be fired one handed, and is therefore entirely legal, this has been evaluated by BATFeces and found to be so. How you use it, barring any REDESIGN, is completely legal, even if you fire it with your pinky toes while bracing the stock in your ass crack.

There are several videos on youtube of people using these arm braces in the same fashion people would use a stock, they seem to do fine.

What I was thinking, given the decisions handed down on the stock itself, is that someone should manufacture a from scratch AK with an arm brace stock stock, a vertical foregrip, and given the length of the stock+receiver, about a 9-10inch barrel, to give an overall length of 26 or so inches. This would make this firearm in that special grey zone where it is no longer a SBR, Pistol, or Rifle, but rather the ambiguous "Other" firearm, such as the now famous mossberg 500 14in birdshead grip, and the Franklin Armory XO-26B, both of which the fine folks at BATFeces have decided are not governed by the NFA.

This would accomplish... probably nothing... but... I like the idea.
