Greetings all, Pretty new to Vepr world (and this forum). While I'm waiting to get my custom stock finished and set up I am shopping mounts and optics. I am a 100% fan of the RSRegulate stuff. Will the 310+AKR be fine on the Vepr's side rail?

Can anyone make a recommendation on a 4x 6x or 8x wi BDC reticle that is not a ComBloc product. Will mainly plink out to 300 yards. Could I get away with a 7.62NATO BDC reticle at that range? Any other ideas?

Well, I think your "non-Combloc" statement throws people for a loop in ideas. The 54R round is a Combloc round and the Dragunov reticule with BDC was designed specifically for it. Western scopes will be mil-dot and BDC will be different for 54R - still usable, but slightly different like using a Dragunov reticule for .308, you'll have to manually compensate because the BDC is slightly off.

If you do not realize, the scope you are considering from Kalinka - it's a POSP made in Belarus by Belomo, which means you are considering a Combloc scope. The POSP is a great scope and will serve you well.

Why do you not want Combloc?

As for the RSregulate mount - I do not know if it will work or not. I suspect if it is an AK mount, it will work like any other AK mount on Vepr. You can always contact RS if you have any concerns.

The POSP will be fine I have one regret in the purchase I made
I should have went with the 1000 meter reticle instead of the 400 meter one
I used the two piece RS Regulate mount and am happy with it

Why? I believe the 400m Simonov reticle has BDC chevrons calibrated for 762x39. The 1000m Dragunov reticle uses the turret adjustments for BDC up to 1000m then @ 1,100, 1,200, 1,300 uses those chevrons.

Correct. The 400m Simonov reticule is for x39. hardhead, if you're using it for 54R, I can understand why you regret it. Put it on x39 AK and get the 1000m Drag for your 54R - you'll be much happier! :)
