I've got a Vepr 12 that I really like and want to put a red dot sight on the rear rail. I know it will have to be placed near the rear to avoid ejection malfunctions.

I tried a Bushnell TRS-25 on it, but the emitter was in the way of cowitnessing. Does anyone know of a similarly sized sight that will cowitness?

I'd like to spend less than $100 if possible.

I'm interested too. I'm thinking maybe a Burris Fastfire might be a good choice.

I think the newest generation primary arms red dot has the emiter on the side, and the IOR unit definitely does. Both are below $200. Both have a decent warranty , but neither is something hat you should expect to last through hard use.

I really like the Bushnell TRS25 (possibly the best RDS under $100) & how it cowitnesses with the UltiMAK on my MAK90.
