Our AK-300 modular side mount system is the only one guarenteed to be directly over-bore on any AK- VEPR's included.

You can also pick them up from Kalinka.
I use an AK-303 lower and AKR upper on my Vepr 54r.

I do like this mount, and the fact that it's centered, but when using a scope, does it allow cowitnessing with say an 8x scope? Or more accurately, do the sights obstruct the view of a mounted scope? (this would be undesirable for me) Thanks!

Cowitness is when you can use the iron sights through the optic. On an 8X this would be HIGHLY undesirable as all you would see is a big black blob covering the lower 1/3 of your optic like you had mud covering it.

For large magnification optics like an 8X I recommend using the setup I use:
AK-303 lower with AKR upper and rings of your choice to put the scope right where you want it.
Mine sits just above and forward of the rear sight - provides almost perfect cheek weld and no cowitness.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

So having a centered scope on my VEPR 54R I would need the AK-303 scope mount and the correct rings right?

How high up does that sit. My scope take up a little bit of space. it's the KOM 3-9x42 Illuminated

Thank you in advance!
