I just got my POSP 3-9x42 scope and mounted it to my 7x62x54r. The scope is off to the left of the center of the barrel by about a 1/2 inch. Is there a way to adjust the mount to center the scope?

Nope. They are all off center like that.

Boris is correct.

This is normal for POSP type scopes. To get centered you will need an after market mount and separate scope. RS Regulate makes a great mount. There are also some good Russian mounts out there.

Moving to Optics section.....

Thanks for the help. How do you zero if it's off by that much?

If it were me, I'd sight it dead on at 200-300 yards and forget about the half inch. What's a half inch or less when shooting something with a 54???

I've got the same setup on my vepr 54r, and being left-handed and left-eyed, the scope being offset to the left is extra lame because I have to crank my head way too far to the left over the rifle to see through the scope. I can see where for most right handed shooters this is fine but as a left it really isn't usable for me unfortunately.

anyone using this mount on a Vepr 54r and can confirm it works fine? I'm also looking at this one from Kalinka, will this be good for a Vepr 54r with a center-mounted scope?

Lots of people use the RS Regulate mount on their 54R and love it. You can probably see a ton of them in the pics thread. The mount you showed from Kalinka should work fine too.
