I just purchased a VEPR 12 that is to be shipped to me and I have heard not the best things of the SGM magazines. So, I am really eager to find VEPR-12 factory OEM mags of the 8 round or 10 round capacity. I have a lot of Saiga 12 accessories and magazines and a prefitted MD ARMs 20 rd mag drum I can trade for them. I'd be willing to sell/trade my Saiga 12 w/MD Arms prefitted drum together.. These drums are a real pain in the butt to fit into your saiga and need a lot of adjustment. My drum and Saiga have been fitted together. I also have many Surefire 12 round, Saiga 12 magazines I can trade that have been filed down a bit for a better fit into the Saiga 12.. All Saiga 12 mags need a little bit of filing to properly fit into most Saigas.

Most of my magazines are almost like new except for the filing to help them fit into the gun.

Anybody who is interested in trading or selling some of OEM mags please let me know. I'm bummed out to hear the SGM magazines suck and now think I will be without any magazines for my new VEPR 12 until I can find somebody who is interested in trade or can sell me some of the OEM magazines.

Thanks.

Its always nice to have the factory mags. The SGM mags normally work fine in the V12 and sometimes need to break in a little. The Saiga factory magwell mags will work in the V12 too..Legion USA has them I do believe.

Mike, I have only one of the 5 round factory mags for my Saiga 12. I am most likely going to sell it with my Saiga 12.. I'm going to look into possibly converting my Saiga 12 mags to fit into my Vepr 12 .. There was one guy who wrote a disturbing article about the reliability of the SGM mags in the VEPR12 with heavier use.. He said he would not trust his life with them.. THe problems he was discussing seemed to be echoed by many people on the forums I have read..

However, I am probably going to order a couple of the 12 round SGM mags and see for myself how they will work. The guy who wrote the article also discussed some mods that would make the SGM mags more reliable in the VEPR12 that I may try to implement.

4F, I just pulled the trigger on another S433a from Legion. I bought it to get the factory mag. lol. Actually, I cant even believe there are any left. They are great shotguns and I love the interchangability of the magwell mags. I will be praying to the Mag Gods for all of us. These bogus situations stink. Maybe Molot and Saiga can open up some factories here in the US. Lol
