So... I'm into black powder. As you can see by my Thompson Center Hawken .54 thread.
I never knew how much "baggage" came with owning a black powder gun. "Whatever"... Too late now.
So a fellow at work wants to sell me an Italian replica of an American 1851 "Navy" pistol that he bought in the 1990's, and he only fired it a couple times and stored it for a couple decades.
The gun can be bought new for $250, but he only wants $50.
That's a no-brainer.

Here's a few rounds. I "missed" one, as the hammer has multiple "clicks", and I missed the last one.
Hope you enjoy.

How's the accuracy with that pustol? Very dirty sport with black powder. Thankfully AKs aren't black powder and love to be dirty anyways. Ha ha haa

Not sure about accuracy. I've fired eight rounds out of it, including the six in the video.
I did two rounds last weekend, but discovered the primers I had wouldn't work (they're for the rifle). They fall off and jam the cylinder.

This guy has fixes for stuff like that. I suggest perusing his backlog.

IIRC the fixes were using aftermarket nipples which have a tiny hole cross drilled in them, and also polishing some of the surfaces of the hammer that the cap can expand into. "Cap sucking" is the slang.

Indeed! Thank you!
Yea, I spent the $40 for the "SliXshot Black Powder Nipples".
I've fired it a few times. Still not "100%", but much better.
My time in the back yard has been extremely limited recently.

Here's the fancy nipples. (I just love talking about my nipples).
The main hole is MUCH larger, and it's got two vent holes on the sides.
