That's a really clever design. I wonder if the adjustment can rattle out of position. It would tend to be more tunable than simple gas restrictors.

Pretty cool! Looks like there may be set screw grooves in the threaded shank and a set screw hole in the collar of the OP rod. If true, I'd drill thru and place a brass rod. Stake both sides. Never coming loose. That lock nut could be discarded.

Or simply cut a small knick in the lock nut and stake the OP rod into it to secure. Like an AR castle nut.

Cool product. May get one if I ever have a need. KNS makes nice stuff. Love their thin AR front sight post. Have several of them.

Technically not adjustable gas. It's adjustable stroke. 8-)

It looked like it has an aperture for gas to vent through the piston face to the shank. The ring blocks the aperture more or less as you screw it.

Ah. Didn't watch the video. Maybe I should do that. :D

At a glance, figured it was adjustable length rod.

Very cool. Wish they would slot the carrier pin hole and add another hole orthogonal to the first. Would maximize tunable range.

I may look into one of these some time. Great idea!

Re: Cheston's comment on that other topic:

1) the defecation thing is mostly brand loyalty. DI isn't a real problem.
2) It is venting the gas inside the gas tube where most AK variants already have gas holes, and roughly within the area the piston strokes to anyway.
3) It's not like the AK piston normally is tightly sealed into the tube on most things.

I would totally buy this for the intended purpose. It looks rather well thought out.
