CD, Were you shooting surplus rounds, or steel cased?

Majority of the rounds that have gone through the rifle are Wolf steel cased 148gr or 174gr 7.62x54r. I have shot a spam can of surplus 7.62x54r through it when I got it but I was very thorough in cleaning and preventing any corrosion/rusting.

Your extractor is coming off the pin at the claw. The spring then pushes the extractor down past where it would normally stop and will not allow you fully engage the next round. My 308 VEPR did the same thing. I pulled everything apart, hammered the extractor claw back around the pin then reassembled the bolt. Hand-cycles fine after that but I'm not wasting a trip to the range, the extractor needs replaced.

It would be nice to have a cnc'd piece that fully encloses the pin and all but eliminates the chance of yanking the extractor off the pin. I have a good friend that is currently manufacturing firearm components for various manufactures who is looking at this design for me. Could be promising.
