Thanks for that referance makes sense.

why did they quit the sight on the end of the bbl? Import reasons?

Ordered a Midwest rail for a scope so can QD for a red dot on the front rail if I want.
Got lucky my buddy at the local LGS upgraded his 308 scope and sold me his "old"
about 100 rounds thru it scope for a Hondo :)

Sightron SII 3-12x42 AO Scope still has box all the paperwork. That will work
for a while for sure. best used i found online was 325-450 so I think he musta
had a weak moment lol.

New muzzle brake will be here tomorrow and I can take her out and run some
rounds thru her finally!

Lots of speculation why they made the V2.
Quicker target acquisition when using the irons supposedly.
Prolly cheaper to build with less parts since the front sight is part of the gas block.
Rear sight is not as adjustable as the V1...only has 100 and 300M settings I believe.
Doesn't matter much if you scope it.
V2 Gas tube is about 3/4" longer which makes the gas piston rod longer too and also one of a kind.
V1 can use a standard gas tube and may or may not need some tweaking to get a good fit depending on the one you choose.
V1's still show up new from time to time after being stuck in customs it seems.

I have had good and bad luck with the 10 round mags. Fortunately there is an easy solution. If the 10 rounder won't lock in it needs to be modified. Don't sand or file the front or back of the mag but use a file and file at a 45% ankle across the top. File slowly and keep, trying to,fit until you hear that magic click as it locks into place.

I know magazine option suck, but CSSPECS are in middle of making 10 to 15 round steel magazines. From their other products, should be great. It will not be possible to make 20 round magazine unless you want it to be extra long and not enough in R&D in CSSPECS to overcome making double stack to single stack magazine to work.
I recommend Lantac Dragon for AK muzzle break.
