Has anyone added a charging handle extension to their rifle? I was wondering if it effects the operation.

It shouldn't effect anything. I have them on some 74s and they work fine. What kind of charging handle you thinking of?

I put one on my Hunter, but it eventually came loose.

Unless you drill thru the original charging handle to secure the retaining screw, I would guess, it will continue to come loose. I don't even think locktite would help. There is a great amount of force going on there.

On the V-12's, vendors recommend Red Loctite, and to screw the set screw down REALLY hard; as hard as you can get it.. And don't forget to let the Loctite sit/set-up for 24 hours before firing the weapon.
