I tried one like that on a saiga I used to own. But really the strength of the AK platform is in the magazines. Not sure why one would choose the AR mags against the steel lined bulgy's except for maybe compatibility with their current rifles.

If I were to get a 5.56/.223 AK, I would use one of those adapters for that reason. I already have several STANAG mags for other weapons.

i am interested because having access to ar mags means always having access to 30 round mags. i havent found any circle tens since starting to look for them in november. except of course, for crazy prices on gunbroker.

at this point, if the feds dont pass a mag ban, ill probably go this route.

I would go with a definitive arms setup if I was going for an AK that takes AR mags, but it's not the cheapest option. The Texas AK Designs setup looks nice, though.

went with the renegade buck adapter. filed the adapter to fit the vepr, now just working on removing material for the mag to lock in. its hard to get the angles grinded down in such a tight spot

Hmm, Centerfire has the .223 Super available for $800, but it's got the kickout mag release already... I wonder if it'd be possible to move that mag release to my .308 Hunter?
