Hello all,

I've been kicking around the idea of buying a .300 Blackout to use suppressed. Rather than go with an AR15, I'm thinking the Vepr .223 platform might be an interesting alternative.

Even better would be a .300 Blackout Vepr AK pistol (if they made such an animal) that could be used with the Sig pistol arm-brace stock, permitting a short barrel without the BATFE tax stamp for a SBR.

Has anyone tried an AK in .300 Blackout? If so, how did you fare? What problems did you encounter?

Thanks,

David

Sig is supposedly making a .300 black out 556xi with pistol brace. Same action as an AK. Haven't seen one available yet. Only benefit over 7.62 x 39 version would be the LRBHO. But a Vepr .300 would be cool.. /sct

I saw those on the Sig site. They look nice, but I'd still love to have a Vepr. Especially a Vepr pistol AK with the Sig arm stabilizing brace. That would make for a really cool home defense weapon, and handy for taking out those pesky late-night raccoon visitors.

Youd have to have sot/class2 manufacturer remanufacture a vepr reciever as a pistol for it to be classified as a pistol. Kinda like how cadiz gun works "remanufactured" saiga 12's into a aow. Molot never produced a vepr pistol afaik.

Found a Saiga M AK-101 in 300 Blackout.
https://www.legionusa.com/ak-saiga-m-30 ... ckout.html
$1649.

At that price, I'd look at a .223/5.56 from Definitive Arms with a aluminum magwell adapter for AR-mags, and AR style LRBHO with AR style bolt release and mag release. At $1699.

Or a 300 BO AR at $700.

If I were dumping that money on a 300 BO gun in a non standard platform, it would be the Mac n Hill STG44, which is actually offered for about that.
